At mid afternoon on Tuesday he said that most precincts were reporting a steady flow of voters. There are about 18,000 active and inactive voters in the county. Early voting began Oct. 12 when people could travel to the courthouse in Kenton to vote. Since then, 2,197 people voted before today. In addition, the county mailed 2,092 absentee ballots to voters but it was not known by mid afternoon Tuesday how many of those had been returned.
