A net to remember
Ada's Tori Wyss takes her turn cutting down the net Saturday night at the ONU Sports Center after the Polar Bears came out on top after a close contest with Trine University, Angola, Ind. ONU won 55-48 and advances to the sweet 16 in NCAA Division III play on Friday at a site to be determined. ONU remains unbeaten this season---in regular play, OAC tourney competition, and in the current NCAA action. Northern led most of the game but only by 2 to 4 points. Even in the last minute, it was possible for Trine to pull off an upset, but the Lady Bears held on, winning cheers for the hometown crowd and making it possible for the hardwood stars to climb the ladder and snip a piece of the net as a remembrance of a win that might propel them onto national glory.
