DELPHOS - Ada lost a tight pitcher's duel at Delphos Jefferson 2-1 in a Northwest Conference softball contest Thursday evening.
The purple and gold fell to 5-7 overall and 0-3 in the NWC with the defeat. Meanwhile, the Lady Wildcats improved to 3-8 and 1-1 in league play with the victory.
"We only had two hits - that tells the story right there," said Ada head coach Rebecca Dicke. "Dalton pitched a good game, we just didnít hit well enough to support her."
All three runs in the low-scoring game were tallied in the third inning. Ada broke on top 1-0 in the top of the third when Alexis Ennis doubled Brenna George home.

DELPHOS - Host Delphos Jefferson scored 11 runs in its last two at bats to defeat the Ada baseball team 12-2 in a Northwest Conference game Thursday evening.
The Bulldogs fell to 6-5 and 1-2 in the NWC with the loss, while DJ improved to 6-5 and 2-0 in league play with the win.
Ada led 1-0 after one inning. DJ tied it with a run in the home second, yet the Bulldogs pushed across a run in the fourth to regain a 2-1 edge.
But then Jefferson blew the game open with eight runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Wildcats added three more runs in the sixth to end it with two outs by the 10-run rule.

The Blanchard Pleasant Buckeyes met on Monday, April 8 in the Hardin Northern Ag building. Recreation for the night was a game teaching the new members the 4-H pledge. Leading the meeting was president Megan Miller. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Zander Richardson and the 4-H Pledge by Hayden Sampson. Roll call was your favorite pizza topping. There were 57 total present, 43 members, 6 advisors, and 8 guests.

The Ada tennis team won handily at Bellefontaine 4-1 Wednesday evening.
The Bulldogs improved to 7-2 with the win, while the hosts fell to 1-7 with the loss.
Ada swept the three singles matches easily, losing just one out of 37 games. Senior Cade Mullins, junior Isaac Spar and sophomore Miranda Wills each rolled to blowout wins in singles.
Senior Morgan Swick and freshman Dexter Woods combined to win a close two-set match at first doubles as well.
