Officials from Lewis Family McDonald's presented a check for $1,000 to Upper Scioto Valley Schools for the effort of school employees and local residents who had supper at Ada McDonald's on Oct. 16. Ada, too, received a check for $700 for their efforts on Oct. 9.
The schools vied for which could get the most customers to Ada McDonald's during a three hour period on different Mondays.
Ada went first, a mob of people showed up and made purchases. In fact, it was the largest turnout ever for a McTeacher's Night from among the 17 Lewis Family McDonald's. But then came USV, and they topped Ada to win an extra $150.
