Quote master

Have the chalkboard quotes at the Mercantile on Main, 117 S Main St., made you smile? We have Gail Altstaetter to thank for that. He notes that he works hard to find quotes that are out of the ordinary.

AHS girls soccer season recap

By Cort Reynolds

UPPER SANDUSKY--The Ada girls soccer team battled to a halftime tie, but they eventually tired and lost 5-1 at Upper Sandusky on a cold Monday evening, October 17, in Div. III sectional first round tournament action.

Seeded ninth, the Bulldog girls finished with a 5-12 record after the season-ending defeat.

The seventh-seeded Lady Rams improved to 8-5-3 with the win, and advanced to the sectional finals.

"Cold weather and tired legs from our game Saturday night did us in," said Lady Bulldog first-year head coach Doug Dewese.

Ada lost a tough 2-0 makeup match to Allen East Saturday.
