Photo-story: Moosical matinee performed by first graders

The Ada 1st Graders presented two performances of “A Barnyard Moosical” on Thursday, March 24 in the Ada schools auditorium in front of an audience of students and families.

The lively program by Jill and Machael Gallina cast students as pigs, chickens, cows and goats. Songs performed were “When Pigs Fly,” “Funky Chicken Strut,” “Cows’ Chorus Line” and “Gourmet Goat Cheese Pizza.” 

ONU 2022 Commencement dates

Blanchard Valley Health System on Top 50 Supply Chains list

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) was recently named on a list of the “Best 50” healthcare supply chains in North America by Global Health Exchange (GHX).  

To create the list, GHX, a healthcare business and data automation company, analyzed the performance of more than 4,100 hospitals in the U.S. and Canada that are part of its digital trading network. The list scored several areas, including maximizing automation and increasing exchange utilization and trading partner connections.

Soil Health Workshop Series

A series of Soil Health Workshops will be held on April 4 (Beginner) and April 6 (Advanced) at the Hardin County OSU Extension Office, 1021 Lima St # 103, Kenton.

Jim Hoorman, Hoorman Soil Health Services will be the main presenter. Hoorman has worked for OSU Extension for several years as a county extension educator in Putnam County and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in the Soil Health Division for Ohio and Michigan. 

Rita Holland worked for Hardin Memorial Hospital

Our amazing mother, Rita “Tootie” Arlene Holland, 70, passed away on March 23 at 8:30 a.m., after a courageous battle with COPD, surrounded by her loving family at her residence.
