Review of The President's Daughter

by Robert McCool

What do you get when you mix an Ex-President and the Grand Master of Pop fiction?

You get a pretty good read.

Regardless of what you think of Bill Clinton as a President, and even though as a man he was a womanizing scoundrel, he knows the inner workings of Washington, DC.

Regardless of what you think of James Patterson as an author who doesn't write many of his books, he knows how to write well when he chooses to do so.

Put them together and you get one heck of a political thriller, packed with non-stop action from the very start to the very end.

The Wildcats (2-3, 0-2 NWC) led 28-17 in the fourth period at Crestview Friday, but lost a 31-28 heartbreaker to a late Knight two-touchdown rally.

DJ's last win over Ada was in 2017 by a 35-33 count. The Bulldogs edged the Wildcats on the road 27-22 in 2013 in their lone playoff meeting.

Host Ada could not contain the big-play rushing attack of traditional local rival Bluffton, and lost a 34-14 Northwest Conference clash on a warm Friday night, September 17,  at War Memorial Stadium.

The Pirates tallied touchdowns on two 64-yard runs and a 39-yarder, and added a 74-yard non-scoring rush as well.

The Bulldogs fell to 1-4 and 0-2 in the NWC with the defeat.

Bluffton improved to 4-1 and 1-1 in league play with the win.

"Give Bluffton credit, they played hard and are a good team," said first-year Ada head coach Toby Smith. "We made too many mistakes in the first half.

Weekend Doctor: Mental Health in the Medical Community During COVID-19

The Covid pandemic has brought about new challenges to the medical community and society as a whole. There have been times where we were forced to give up rights and do things we are not comfortable doing. We as Americans do not give up our rights freely and will definitely put up a fight whenever we feel our rights are being infringed. We have fights over why we would or should wear a mask. Fights over vaccines and if they should be mandated. Fights over schools and how the school year should be laid out, if the kids should wear masks, should we have full sessions, etc.
