Kappa Epsilon holds women's health events in Ada
Ohio Northern University’s Kappa Epsilon (KE) will celebrate National Women’s Health Week by hosting women’s health events in the Ada, Kenton and Lima, Ohio, communities from April 17 to 27. This year’s theme is “It’s Your Time!”
KE will be at several local locations to distribute information about preventive screenings, increasing physical activity, nutrition, mental health and smoking cessation. In addition, they will offer blood pressure screenings and information on heart health.
On Tuesday, April 17, KE will be at the ReStore Community Center in Ada, Ohio, to help serve a meal and provide information. KE will travel to the Kroger in Kenton, Ohio, on Thursday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to distribute similar information.
On Tuesday, April 24, at Heartbeat in Lima, Ohio, from 3 to 5 p.m., KE will work with the Academy of Student Pharmacists’ Operation Heartburn to educate community members.
On Thursday, April 26, KE will be present at Rays in Lima, Ohio, (on state Route 309) from 9 a.m. to noon.
The week of activities closes on Friday, April 27, when KE will partner with ONU Healthwise to help educate members of the campus and Lima communities. The organizations will be in ONU’s King Horn room 224 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at Health Partners in Lima from 1 to 4 p.m.
