Ada's latest news

The spring book fair drew attention of many Ada elementary students this week. Here's a photo from Wednesday. Among popular items were scented erases, but of course, lots of books were also leafed through. The final day of the book fair is Friday with a closing time of 3:30 p.m.

Ada school superintendent, Meri Skilliter, announced this morning of a school day rescheduling due to the Feb. 27 school cancellation.

The notice on Ohio Alerts states: "Due to today's (Feb. 27) cancellation, we will now have school on Wednesday, April 15."

Originally, April 15, was the final day of the previously scheduled Easter break, which means the break will end one day early.

Wouldn't you know - school is cancelled on the day that Ada second and third graders were scheduled to perform a musical "Snow Way Out."

The musical is rescheduled for Thursday, March 5, at 1:15 p.m. with a repeat performance at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.

Musical synopsis
The new owners of Winter's Wonderland Resort, Jack and Jackie Frost, are ready to have a fun winter season.  However, guests are beginning to arrive and there is no snow. 

Everyone is anxious as they wait for Old Man Winter to finally arrive so the fun can begin.

The 2019 Annual Financial Report of the Ada Public Library is complete and the report is available at the office of the fiscal officer, at 320 N. Main St., Ada, according to Nancy Stauffer.
