The Ohio Northern men's and women's soccer programs have joined forces again to host the fourth annual "Kicks for a Cause" fundraiser.
The event, which raised close to $1,000 last year, will take place during the OAC double header against Baldwin Wallace on Saturday, Oct. 12.
The Kicks for a Cause event began as a way to raise awareness and give back towards all forms of cancer.
All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society.
Both the men's and women's teams will warm up in Kicks for a Cause t-shirts, which were designed by sophomore women's soccer team member Hannah Moloney.
Heath Jackson, Ada High School graduate and BGSU red-shirt junior wide receiver, scored his first ever touchdown reception for the Falcons in their 28-7 homecoming win over the University of Massachusetts Minutemen at Doyt L. Perry Stadium.
The Falcons are now 5-1 on the season and 3-0 in the Mid American Conference, East Division. The homecoming crowd of 13,799 witnessed a stingy BG defense with the Minutemen scoring their only touchdown late in the fourth quarter against the second string defense.
