The Ada Exempted Village Schools, 725 W North Ave., have announced a special Board of Education Meeting for 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. The purpose of the meeting is appoint a new board member.

Board members are Matt Gossman, president; Dr. Amy Mullins, Ronald Fleming and Tome Dearth.

Trick or Treat night in the Village of Ada will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 28, according to Jamie Hall, Village Administrator.

The Starbucks coffee shop at 534 S Main St. is now open, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., 7 days a week. It features oven warmed food and Nitro cold brew. 

St Paul's United Church of Christ, on Twp Rd 25 between Twp. roads 50 and 60, will host a Pancake and Sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday October 16.

Twenty Hardin Leadership 2020-2021 participants will be recognized for completing their nine session Hardin Leadership program in two years due to the pandemic.

The celebration will be held on Thursday evening, October 14 at the Elk’s Lodge Banquet Room, 117 E. Franklin St., Kenton. Gathering begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner buffet beginning at 6:00 p.m. 

Representing the class with the “Class Reflections” will be Kendrick Garmon of Kenton and Deb Oestreich of Ada. Brad Ellis, Director of Behavioral Health for Coleman Health Services will be the Alumni speaker and will talk about “Finding Your Happy Place...No Mask Required.”
