Rebekah Walker and Alyssa Wince are the Ada High School Elk’s teenagers of the month for April. Both are seniors.

Rebekah is active in several school organizations. These include on the school yearbook staff, Language Club, Film Club and National Honor Society. She has maintained a 4.0 grade point average, qualifying for an academic letter/pin as a junior and senior.
As a junior she had an art piece accepted in the Governor’s Art Show. She also was recognized by Ohio State University for a drawing she created.
Alice L. Anspach, 92, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 8:15 a.m. at The Greens at Lima Convalescent Home.
She was born on Sept. 28, 1928, in Hardin County, Ohio, to Orpha J. and Estella (Bailey) Clark, who preceded her in death. On April 13, 1947, Alice married Stanley C. Anspach and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1985.
Stan and Alice fulfilled their dream of owning a farm, which she continued on her own. She enjoyed scratch offs and going to the casino. Alice was devoted to her family. She especially liked to hear stories about her great great nieces and nephews.
St. Mark Lutheran Church and Sugar Grove United Methodist Church will hold its "Free Community Meal" Wednesday, April 28. The meal will be served at St. Mark, 125 S. Johnson St., Ada.
The meal will be served walk up, bike up, drive up only and is free to the community. The menu includes smoked pulled pork sandwiches (smoke by one of our own members), baked beans, cole slaw, chips and fruit.
The meal runs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Current safety protocols will be observed.
