Owls and book making on library's calendar next week
Two programs of interested are on the Ada Public Library calendar next week.
Owls Out & About
Monday, June 18 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Community Health Professionals Building (1200 S. Main St., Ada)
The Black Swamp Raptor Rehab Center will be bringing live owls for this fun and educational program. Learn about the birds of prey and how group members rehabilitate injured animals.
Book Making Workshop Series
Thursday, June 21 & Friday, June 22 from 10 to 11:30 a.m
Ages 8-10. Preregistration required.
The Ada Public Library will host a book making workshop for Summer Reading Club members in the library meeting room. Professor Melissa Eddings-Mancuso will help each student create their own tunnel book on the subject of dreams.
Tunnel books rely more on pictures and images than words and have a pop-up (3D) aspect to them that makes them as much fun to look at as they are to create! Participants will need to be able to attend both sessions to complete their book.
