Ruth M. Prater, 82, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 12:10 a.m. at Van Wert Manor, Van Wert, Ohio.
She was born Jan. 7, 1930 in Van Wert County, Ohio to Elvin and Clema (Ashbaugh) Thatcher. They preceded her in death.
She married Orville Prater on Oct. 10, 1952 and he died on July 31, 2002.
Ruth was a homemaker. She was a member of the Auglaize United Baptist Church, Maysville, Ohio.
Survivors include: 1 BROTHER: Floyd (Rosemary) Thatcher of Middle Point, Ohio; 2 SISTERS: Marilyn (Charles) Jones of Antwerp, Ohio and Annabelle Johns of Van Wert, Ohio; and also several neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: 3 Brothers: Harold Thatcher, Glenn Thatcher and Charles Thatcher.
A funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Auglaize United Baptist Church in Maysville. Pastor Bill Prater will officiate.
BURIAL WILL BE IN Preston Cemetery Alger, Ohio.
FRIENDS MAY CALL 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Hanson-
Neely Funeral Home, Alger and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
