Men's Cross Country begins season with victory in ONU Invitational

Junior Mark Berton won the 6k men's event top lead the Ohio Northern men's cross country team to a victory at the ONU Invitiational Saturday.
Northern scored 19 points to win the event. The ONU alumni team came in second with 55 points, while Heidelberg came in third with 68 points and Bluffton finished fourth with 107 points.
Berton finished the course in 19:10 to lead the Poalr Bears.
ONU also had runners finish in sports three through six.
Senior Michael Simmons took third place with a time of 19:26.30.
Junior Jeff Denny registered a fourth place finish with a time of 19:49.80.
Junior Tyler Feitshans finished with a time of 19:54.50 which was good for a fifth place finish while sophomore Nathan Rosenbum finished in 19:54.90.
Ohio Northern will be in action again on Saturday when they travel to the Calvin (Mich.) Select Meet at 10 am.
