Ohio Northern University presents ‘The Liar’ Sept. 13-16
Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present “The Liar” in the Biggs Theatre from Sept. 13-16 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 15-16 at 2 p.m.
Contemporary American comic master David Ives turns this 17th-century classic by Pierre Corneille into a hilarious evening of fun. The audience follows a dashing bachelor – the “liar” of the title – on a zany tour through Paris while his penchant for telling tall tales gets him into loads of comical trouble, particularly with the opposite sex.
Members of the cast are Ohio Northern students Gena Loe (Clarice), a junior musical theatre major from Allen, Texas; Sarah Pearl Loman (Isabelle/Sabine), a junior musical theatre major from Dallas, Texas; Brady Miller, (Cliton), a sophomore musical theatre and marketing double major from Findlay, Ohio; Caroline Page, (Lucrece), a sophomore musical theatre major from Birmingham, Ala.; Zane Sade (Dorante), a junior musical theatre major from Churubusco, Ind.; Diego Sandino (Geronte), a senior journalism and theatre double major from Attica, Ohio; Isaac Steinhour (Philiste), a sophomore international theatre production and musical theatre double major from Findlay, Ohio; and Sean D. Varga (Alcippe), a junior theatre and music double major from Olmsted Falls, Ohio.
Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for non-ONU students and seniors, $9 for children, and $5 for ONU students. The Freed Center box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone orders are accepted with American Express, MasterCard, VISA or Discover by calling 419-772-1900.
