ONU women's soccer stays in national ranking

The Ohio Northern women's soccer team is ranked No. 19 in the fourth weekly 2012 Continental Tire/NSCAA Men's Division III poll and is No. 21 in the fourth weekly D3soccer.com poll, which were released on Tuesday.
In the NSCAA poll, the Polar Bears (5-0-3) were ranked No. 20 in the third and second polls, were ranked No. 18 in the first weekly poll, were ranked No. 12 in the 2012 preseason poll and were No. 13 in the final 2011 NSCAA poll.
Emory (Ga.) is ranked No. 1, Trinity (Tex.) is second and Messiah (Pa.) is third.
In the D3soccer.com poll, Ohio Northern received 113 points and were ranked No. 22 in last week's poll.
Emory (Ga.) is ranked No. 1, Trinity (Tex.) is second and Messiah (Pa.) is third.
Last week, Northern had a tie againest Denison (1-1) and defeated Thomas More (Ky.) 1-0.
ONU has now been nationally ranked in each of the last two seasons.
The Polar Bears will return to action Wednesday with a 4 pm match against Wittenberg.
