Carolyn N. Cole was an Ada High School graduate
Carolyn N. Cole, age 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2012 at 10:55 a.m. in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
She was born on Nov. 21, 1933 in Ada, Ohio to George Lee and Phoeba Pauline (Businger) Rayle and they preceded her in death. She was married to Robert "Bob" Cole for over 61 years and he survives in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Carolyn retired after teaching at Bath Elementary School for 16 years. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church, Ada. She was also formerly a member of the Ada Quatre Club. Carolyn was a graduate of Ada High School and The Ohio State University.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Ingrid) Cole of Hanover, New Hampshire, and Charles (Robin) Cole of Simpsonville, South Carolina; Two daughters, Christina (Stewart) Graham of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Melanie (David) Vandermast of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; a brother, Ron (Amy) Rayle of Marietta, Ohio; a sister, Martha (Dwayne) Rife of Boise, Idaho; Thirteen Grandchildren; and Six Great Grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Rev. Mary Jo Yeakel officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Carolyn's name to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation at http://support.themmrf.org/goto/carolyncole.
