Earl Grigsby was a Korean War veteran
Earl Grigsby, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at 12:57 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
He was born June 7, 1933 in Hindman, Kentucky, to Timothy and Della (Sparkman) Grigsby and they are both are deceased.
He married Anas Anett Wireman on Aug. 21,1954, and she died Nov. 20, 1989.
Mr. Grigsby was a self-employed truck driver.
He attended the Freewill Baptist Church in McGuffey and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a life member of the VFW Post #1275 of Lima.
SURVIVORS include: 2 SONS: Earl “Eugene” (Margie) Grigsby of Spencerville and Mark D. Grigsby of Lima.
3 DAUGHTERS; Vickie (Danie) Ryan of Lima; Tammy K. Grigsby of Spencerville and Teresa (Todd) Fitzpatrick of Bath, Michigan.
1 BROTHER: Bill (Marjorie) Grigsby of Spencerville, Ohio.
14 GRANDCHILDREN and 17 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN
HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: 1 Son, Steve R. Grigsby; two sisters: Mary Wireman and Fannie Pots; and five brothers: Logan, Harry, Oscar, Rosco and John L. Grigsby.
FUNERAL SERVICES were Tuesday, October 2, 2102 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Dave Trusty officiating.
BURIAL was in Preston Cemetery Alger, Ohio.
