Public meeting for concrete streets project set for Nov. 14
The Ada village council will host a public meeting on Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Ada Community Health Professionals Building.
The agenda for this meeting will be two-fold. The meeting will open with a brief update on the ongoing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Project, which is currently in the design stage.
Once comments and discussion have closed on the WWTP Project, the agenda will turn to the Concrete Streets Reconstruction Project. Streets included in the project are:
• Christopher Circle,
• Jocelyn Drive,
• Brandi Place,
• Valerie Drive,
• Southern View,
• Pleasant View, and
• portions of Northern View and Clint Drive.
These streets will be reconstructed to Ada’s current design standards. These standards include new asphalt streets, concrete curbs, sidewalks and street lights consisting of wood poles and overhead lines. Utility improvements will be made where needed.
While letters of notice of the public meeting have been mailed to property owners whose property will be directly impacted by the project, all interested parties are encouraged to attend. This meeting will give residents the opportunity to see the project design, ask questions, and offer discussion on the project.
The Concrete Streets Reconstruction Project will be funded by local income tax monies and property assessments. The project is expected to cost $2,059,101.00. 79% of the cost will be funded by Ada income tax. 21% of the cost will be funded by front foot assessments on properties located on or near the streets mentioned above.
