We're not certain if this is Dancer, Prancer, or Comet.

But, we do know that it's one of Santa Claus' reindeer and two of the deers will be in Ada during Merry on Main from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2, at the historic railroad depot.

Merry on Main includes lots of family-friendly activities. Those activities follow:

Ada Visiting Nurses and Community Health Professionals (CHP) are hosting a community blood drive on Monday, Nov. 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at CHP's conference room, 1200 S. Main St.

 A school record 68 Ohio Northern student/athletes were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in the six fall sports for 2019.

The ONU football, men's soccer, women's soccer and women's cross country teams had record-high totals and the men's cross country team tied its record number of Academic All-OAC honorees.

Football had 16 named Academic All-OAC, men's soccer 15, women's soccer 13, women's cross country nine, men's cross country eight and volleyball seven.

The award winners must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have a cumulative grade-point-average of at least 3.50.

Dec. 11 at Ada Public Library

The library is hosting a craft night on Wednesday, Dec. 11 FROM offered by Stephanie Myers of Simple Treasures By Steph and Rosie Cheeks Bakery. Participants are able to paint their own wooden cookie tray, and decorate three cookies from Rosie Cheeks Bakery.

"There are four choices of wooden cookie trays to choose from. Everyone
who attends will paint a Christmas cookie tray or personalized tray with
handles, and they will get to decorate three of Rosie Cheeks Bakery's delicious
cookies," said Myers.

The 27th annual Ada Schools senior citizens Christmas luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the gymnasium of the K-12 building.

The Varsity Singers will perform at the conclusion of the meal. Residents of the Ada school district, who are 62 or older are invited.

Here are the Ada and Upper Scioto students for October and November

Four Ada High School students and two Upper Scioto Valley students received recognition from the Kenton Elks Lodge 157 as their school's students of the month for October and November.

Students from each school in Hardin County are recognized each month. This was the first group of students recognized for 2019-2020 school year by the Elks.
