Check out Relay for Life's kick off events and pumpkin pie opportunity
The local Relay for Life is taking orders for homemade pumpkin pies for $8 each at the McIntosh Center from Nov. 7 to 14 during lunch (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.-1) and dinner (5 to 7 p.m.) hours.
The pies will be pre-ordered and delivered Thursday, Nov. 15, and Friday, Nov. 16.
Also, from Nov. 12 to 14, the Relay we will sell pumpkin pie slices on the spot for $1 each.
On Wednesday, Nov. 14, is the the Relay for Life Kick-Off Event, also in the McIntosh Center. The event will be held in the main activities room. The kick-off event is a place where teams can sign-up and learn about Relay. Individuals can also sign up without a team. This event is open to the entire campus and community.
There will also be a lot of fun activities going on at the kick-off: corn-hole will be set up, music will be playing, prizes will be raffled and free homemade cookies will be offered.
This event is especially important for anyone who would like to be a team captain. Persons wanting additional information may contact Lauren Stahl, Relay publicity chair
