Drew Keriazes named OAC men's Swimmer of the Week
Ohio Northern senior Drew Keriazes was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Nov. 12-18.
Keriazes won four events, leading the Polar Bears (4-0 overall) to a 190-108 victory over Wittenberg Friday night at the ONU Sports Center.
Keriazes swept the breaststroke events, winning the 100 breast in :58.91 and the 200 breast in 2:10.79.
He also was a part of ONU's winning 200 medley and 200 free relay teams, which won in 1:40.02 and 1:27.23, respectively.
This marks the first time this season and the third time in his career that Keriazes has won the award. He also was named Swimmer of the Week on Jan. 31, 2011 and Jan. 16, 2012.
It is also the second time that an ONU swimmer has won the award this year, as sophomore Brian Heilbronner captured the honor on Oct. 29.
The Polar Bears will return to action No. 29-Dec. 1 at the Wooster Invitational.
