Elmer wins 1-meter diving as women's swimming & diving splits tri-meet with Olivet, Hillsdale
The Ohio Northern Women's Swimming & Diving team split a tri-meet Friday night, defeating Olivet (Mich.) 147-84 and falling to NCAA Division II Hillsdale (Mich.) 141.5-90.5, in Hillsdale's McAvoy Natatorium. The Polar Bears move to 2-2 on the season.
Ohio Northern senior Amy Elmer took first place in the 1 meter diving contest, posting a score of 221.20 points.
Junior Jennifer Hartsel earned first place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:14.10.
The team of junior Rachel Aufdenkampe, freshman Abigail Barlage, senior Sarah Fiffick, and sophomore Ashley Zoeller finished in first place in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:45.82.
The Polar Bears team will be back in action next Friday when they take on Wittemberg at 6 pm at the ONU Sports Center.
