ONU women tabbed to finish second in OAC preseason poll

The Ohio Northern women's basketball team was chosen to finish second out of 10 teams in the OAC Women's Basketball Preseason poll in voting done by the league's 10 head coaches.
No. 6 and defending OAC champion Mount Union was tabbed to finish first with 79 points and seven first place votes.
ONU was picked to finish second with 73 points and two first place votes, followed by Baldwin Wallace who received 62 points and one first place vote.
Northern finish the 2011-12 campaign with a 21-6 record and 14-4 mark in the OAC.
The Polar Bears also made their first apperance in the OAC Tournament Championship game since 1989.
Ohio Northern, who received votes in the D3hoops.com Preseason Poll, will begin their season on Novemeber 16 when they face off against Lake Forest (Ill.) in the McWilliams Classic hosted by Washington University (Mo.) at 5 pm (CST).
