The Sounds of Praise Children’s Choir will hold an opening retreat for all interested singers in grades 3 – 8 on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, from 12 – 7 p.m.  Singers will participate in rehearsals and movement sessions, and the day will culminate in a community concert at 6:30 p.m. There is no charge to participate in this event.

The retreat is designed to bring children together from various areas to prepare and share their vocal gifts with the community.  Registration will be held now through Jan. 4. 

Upon registration, singers will receive a music packet which includes the text and recordings of the parts to be learned. At the retreat, the parts will be put together and additional repertoire learned. Early registration is encouraged in order to have ample time to confidently learn the songs.
