On the outside of the doors are two bulldogs. But, step inside the Ada school, turn around and check the next photo. The bulldogs are gone. These clever window covers were installed of the holidays in the school. There are other windows like this in the superintendent' office.

Ada chamber lists events involving chamber members

Here's a preview of events to come in Ada this winter from the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce.

Tuesday, Feb. 5, 6 –10 p.m. at Norada Lanes – Rotary Superbowl Bowling Battle.

Saturday, Feb. 9, 11 a.m. – Chocolate Bake-off at the Library.

Thursday, Feb. 14,  10 –3 p.m. – Sweet Treats at Liberty National Bank – enjoy sweets made just for you from the LNB employees.

Thursday, Feb. 14, 6–7:30 p.m. – Be Mine Chocolate and Wine at The Inn at ONU.

Saturday, Feb. 16, 6 p.m. – ONU Relay for Life.

Monday, Feb. 18 – PRESIDENT’S DAY.

Bingo planned for Thursday, Jan. 31, at The Center on Central in Ada sponsored by Ada Music Boosters is cancelled for tonight.

Members of the Ada Kiwanis Club participated in a service project earlier this week in downtown Ada. 

Members prepared and served the weekly community meal at the ReStore Community Center. The meal, consisting of spaghetti, salad, bread sticks and cannoli’s was served from  4 to 6 p.m. 

Members began preparations in early afternoon. The club served 28 adults and 12 children at the meal for a total of 40. The crowd, which was smaller than usual, was likely due to the extremely cold weather conditions.

The Ada Public Library is closed today, Thursday, Jan. 31, according to  Rhett Grant, library director.
