The Sounds of Praise Children’s Choir will hold an opening retreat for all interested singers in grades three through eight on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. The retreat will be held at Grace Gospel Church, 321 N. Gilbert Street, Ada.  There is no charge to participate in this event.

Singers will participate in rehearsals and movement sessions, and the day will culminate in a community concert at 6:30 pm.

The retreat is designed to bring children together from various areas to prepare and share their vocal gifts with the community.

Registration will be held now through Friday, Jan. 4. Upon registration, singers will receive a music packet which includes the text and recordings of the parts to be learned. At the retreat, the parts will be put together and additional repertoire learned.

Early registration is encouraged in order to have ample time to confidently learn the songs.

Serving through song: The Sounds of Praise Children’s Choir is an inter- denominational children’s choir established to develop each child’s vocal gift through choral training and to share that gift with the community.
