Dumbaugh and Snyder lead No. 12 women's basketball in 62-45 victory over No. 13 Mount Union
Senior Dumbaugh scored a game high 17 points and senior Joanna Snyder added 16 as the No. 12 Ohio Northern women's basketball team defeated No. 13 Mount Union on Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.

Mount Union started things off quickly, building a 12-4 lead within the first five minutes, and pushed their lead to 19-10 with 11:03 left in the first half.
"We came out a little over excited," said head coach Michele Durand. "We called a time out and told everyone to relax and get into a flow."
ONU came storming back and went on a 22-5 run to take a 32-24 lead with just under a minute to play in the first half.
The Purple Raiders scored the final four points of the half, and cut the Polar Bear lead to 32-28 at the break.

After a basket by Mount Union, ONU used a 11-1 run to open up their largest lead of the game at 55-35 with 7:39 left.
Dumbaugh scored six points during the run, junior Sara Kocian chipped in with three and Snyder added a basket.
The Purple Raiders would get no closer than 16 points for the rest of the game.
"We talked about playing better defense at halftime," Durand added. "We definitely came out as a more confident group and the momentum we gained in the first half really carried over."
ONU shot a solid 25-of-61 (41.0 percent) from the field, but was only 3-of-22 (13.6 percent) from three point land for the game.
The Purple Raiders were 19-of-50 (38.0 percent) from the field, and 5-of-13 (35.7 percent) from behind the arc.
Northern grabbed 38 rebounds while Mount Union had 31.
The Polar Bears outscored the Purple Raiders 32-22 in the paint and scored 17 points off of 18 Mount Union turnovers.
