It’s that time of year again when most of us are headed outside for some adventures and fresh air, but there are a few insects we should be prepared for. The prevalence of ticks and mosquitoes increases dramatically in our spring climate, and they pose health risks and act as nuisances to our outdoor activities.

ADA__The Ada High School baseball team lost a tough 5-3 decision in the final inning to visiting foe Columbus Grove on a warm Thursday evening, May 15.
Grove scored two runs in the top of the seventh to break a 3-3 tie and win.
Ada plated all three of its runs in the home third to overcome an early 2-0 deficit.
Ada fell to 5-16 with the tough defeat. Columbus Grove improved to 14-9 after the win.
“Another great effort,” said Ada head coach Toby Smith. “We played very well. We hope to continue to see our team build off of each game. It is fun to see us play the game this way.”
LIMA – The Ada High School boys tennis team competed on day one of the Div. II boys sectional tournament on the University of Northwestern Ohio courts on Thursday, May 15.
Bulldog senior southpaw Nathan Williams fought his way to three wins on day one to advance to the semifinals Saturday for the second year in a row.
The quick Williams first whipped Van Wert’s Ben Verville in his round of 32 opener with a 6-0, 6-0 double bagel.
In the round of 16, he edged past Bath’s Taylor McCoy in a 6-4, 6-4 battle. Then in the quarterfinals, Williams eliminated Elida’s Tanner Layman 6-4, 6-0 to reach the semis.
UPDATE ON MAY 19 AT 1:10 P.M. The Monday, May 19 of the Liberty Township board has been cancelled due to lack of a quorum.
