The Apollo Career Center Culinary Arts students performed top notch in the recent state FCCLA competitions. These students will be attending the National FCCLA skills competition held in July in Nashville, Tennessee.
They each received a $6,000 scholarship for each gold rating. The next Ada blood drive, held by the American Red Cross, will be on Monday, May 13, from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Ada Visiting Nurses and Hospice, located at 4392 State Route 235, Ada.

Look out your window on the morning of May 8, and you may see more students walking or biking to school than usual.
The Ada Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Team is sponsoring a Bike to School Day on May 8th, in cooperation with the national initiative to get more k-6 students walking and biking to school. K-6 students who participate in the event by biking or walking to school that morning will get a raffle ticket from a Ada SRTS team member on their way to school. Winners will be drawn at the start of school Wednesday morning.
President Myrna McCurdy called the weekly meeting of the Ada Kiwanis Club on order at noon on Tuesday April 30 at McIntosh Center, ONU.
