Rielyn Castle and Libbie Milks tie for first place in 8th grade science fair
Twenty Ada eighth grade science students – the largest group ever – qualified for the district science fair to be held March 23 at Ohio Northern University, according to Bill Faine, science teacher.
He provided the following individual results to The Ada Icon:
• First place: (a first-time ever tie) with Rielyn Castle and Libbie Milks each getting a perfect 40 on their projects and a perfect 25 on their interviews.
• Second place: Meredith Morgan earning a 39/25.
• Third place: Evan Smittle earning a 39/23.
• Honorable mentions:

“We have those students along with Alissa Thomas, Larry Zembower, KJ Rhodes, Latifah Bagais, Jacob Park, Kyli Lause, Brice Pitney, Owen Conley, and Grace Nelson all qualifying for district on March 23 at ONU. That is a total of 20 students qualifying. That is the most we have ever had qualify in one year,” said Faine.
