One word best describes the Boston Crusaders performance: Excitement.
The theme “S.OS.” effectively portrays the sad state of affairs of a group of people who become marooned as castaways on an island. The dramatic music builds. The musicians and flag members act out their dilemma. The scenery of beaches and palm trees adds to the reality.
The 12th annual County Line Church of the Brethren car show and chicken barbecue is from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 7, at the church, 4227 N. Hardin Rd, Harrod.

The Ada senior Citizens annual picnic will be at noon on Wednesday, June 27, at Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main.
Jim Boedicker will provide the entertainment. Chicken sandwiches, drinks and table service will be provided. Those attending may bring one or two dishes to share.
Ada area residents 55 years and over are invited to join the group for a $10 annual membership fee and participate in the twice-monthly meetings and activities.
One of the recent summer programs at Ada Public Library involved taking apart an owl pellet and matching the bones in the pellet to diagrams to determine the animal eaten by the owl. This photo is from the library Facebook.
