"Community Highlights" returns in a new format - lists events taking place in Ada
The Ada Community Improvement Corp. “Community Highlights” calendar is back. In late 2012 Ruth Roider retired from creating the bi-monthly calendar.
The Ada Icon offered to continue this valuable community service, and the CIC accepted the Icon’s offer. The March-April version of the calendar was sent to CIC members and others on the CIC e-mail list yesterday.
A copy of the Highlights is an attachment found at the bottom of this story.
Angela Polachek, of the Village of Ada said, “In an effort to get an even wider distribution of the information in the Highlights, CIC wants to try something a little different.”
She continued: “The Ada icon will collect the information from various sources including direct submissions, which may be emailed to [email protected]. The Icon will create a pdf e-mail version of the Highlights from information collected.
“We will then send the Community Highlights pdf to everyone on the CIC distribution list.
“We encourage everyone to print as many copies as needed for your business, customers, employees, and anyone else you think would be interested.”
CIC invites anyone in the community to be added to the distribution list. All that is needed is a name, e-mail address, and permission from the person. To be added to the distribution list contact either [email protected] or [email protected]
Community Highlights will come out every two months. Events for the May-June edition should be sent to [email protected] by April 15.
