It's true for March: In like a lion, out like a lamb
It’s true. March came in like a lion and went out like a lamb. According to Guy Verhoff, Icon weather observer, here’s the March weather report:
The first day that March 2012 experienced a temperature above 39 was on March 7. Prior to that it was all 20s and 30s for highs.
Meanwhile the “low” maximum temperature during the final six days of the month was 40 on March 26. Following that it was all 40s and 50 temperature readings.
The March average temperature was 34.1 with the normal average a bit higher at 37.5. March 2013’s precipitation level reached only 1.31 inches. The March normal average is 2.71.
The month had 8.9 inches of snowfall with six snow days and seven days of “trace of snow.”
The March high temperature was 63 degrees on March 10. The low was 16 on March 4 and 21.
