Not everyone is ready, willing and able to handle an auditorium full of excited 4th-8th graders. Ohio Lt. Governor Jim Tressel was not only ready, when he appeared at the Ada Schools on Thursday, November 13 to promote the Governor's Healthy Ohio Team Tressel Fitness Challenge, he was determined to turn up the volume.

Welcoming a baby is one of the most life-changing experiences a person can have, and preparing a birth plan can help ensure that this special moment reflects individual preferences and values. A birth plan is not a rigid set of rules but a guide to communicate expectations, desires and concerns with healthcare providers. It clarifies parents-to-be while allowing medical staff to understand what matters most to the family during labor, delivery and immediate newborn care.

FROM WWW.BLUFFTONICON.COM__The Bluffton Emergency Medical Service received special recognition at the October 24 Allen County Safe Community Awards. EMS Chief Noah Babcock accepted the award, which honored the organization for its adoption of antibiotic prophylaxis for open fractures. The award was presented at an annual awards luncheon hosted by Lima FOP Lodge #8 and the Lima-Allen County Safe Community Coalition.
