FROM BEATITUDES FACEBOOK__Amanda Waldrup, Community Disaster Program Manager and Lynn Gump, Executive Director of Miami Valley Chapter Red Cross stopped into Beatitudes Community Center to thank us for our partnership during fire disasters.

They were happy to see how much we have to offer during emergency situations.

MEDIA RELEASE__Our Lady of Lourdes, 300 E. Highland, will be hosting two Fish Fries this Lenten season.

The first will be this Friday, February 27 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. or until sold out. Hosted by ONU Catholic.

The second will be Friday, March 27 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. or until sold out. Hosted by Men of the Parish.

Both dine-in and carryout will be available. The cost is $10 for a 2 piece meal and $8 for a 1-piece meal.

MEDIA RELEASE__The annual Hardin County Beef Banquet will be held on Saturday, March 28 at the Hardin County Fair Community Building. The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with the banquet beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Four Seasons Drive Thru, 205 N Main St., is among the individuals and businesses to be honored at the February 26 Ada Distinguished Awards. The Rick Hughes family will receive the 2025 Business of the Year Award. Tickets are on sale at https://square.link/u/l8WG9UOB.

Douglas Charles Hurley, age 74, passed peacefully in his sleep on February 22, 2026.

He was born on June 17, 1951, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Victor and Vera (Henkle) Hurley.  On January 1, 1984, Doug married Tami Truman, and she survives in Ada.  

Doug retired from Roundys after working for thirty years.  He enjoyed volunteering at Lima Memorial Hospital.  He was a collector of John Deere tractors and Case knives.  Doug enjoyed sports.  He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Upper Scioto Valley basketball fan.
