Political director of Ohio Democrats speaker at Hardin Dems April 10 meeting
The next meeting of the Hardin County Democratic Central and Executive Committees is Wednesday, April 10, at 7 p.m. at the Kenton Moose Family Center, 801 West Lima Street, Kenton. Committee members should park on the east side of the facility and enter at the lower level.
Elizabeth Walters, Political Director of the Ohio Democratic Party, is the speaker. She will be giving a power point presentation which analyzes the results of the 2012 Presidential and Senatorial races by county. Committee members will have the opportunity to ask questions about the presentation as well as give Ms. Walters our input regarding the needs of rural counties as we approach the 2014 gubernatorial and other statewide office races.
All committee members are urged to attend the meeting and give their suggestions.
Ms. Walters joined the Ohio Democratic Party as Political Director in November, 2011 after six years of legislative and political work in Northeast Ohio.
There will be additional discussion on seeking candidates for township, village, and school board positions. Persons interested in seeking any of these offices are invited and encouraged to attend. Other routine business will be conducted.
This will be our only meeting until Wednesday, August 14, when members will make final plans for the Democrat Booth at the Hardin County Fair. The May, June and July meetings of the Committees have been cancelled.
Persons who subscribe to the principles of the Democratic Party are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
