There's a bit of Ada in the BGSU spring football game
By Don Traxler
Bowling Green State University Junior Wide Receiver Heath Jackson is still recovering from last fall's knee surgery and did not participate in spring practice and the cold Friday night spring game recently at Doyt L. Perry Stadium.
He expects to be ready to go full-steam-ahead in fall camp. With him is the Orange Team Honorary Coach BGSU Provost Rodney Rogers. Dr. Rogers, a Kenton High School and Ohio Northern University graduate and then ONU Business College faculty member and Ada resident, coached the Orange team to a 34-7 victory.
BG Coach Dave Clawson is excited about the 2013 Falcon team. He said after the game, "It's the first junior and senior dominated team that I've had since I've been here. We have alot more depth and I believe some of the younger guys will be fighting for playing time. The maturity and depth this coming fall has me excited about our season. There will be competition at every position even though some veterans have been starters for one or more years."
