Ada Presbyterian Church hosts a holiday supper and auction on Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 5:30 p.m. The auction begins at 6:30 p.m. The supper includes soups, salad and desserts.

The suggested donation for the evening is $6 for adults and $3 for children (ages 3-12).  Part of the proceeds will go toward mission projects.

Ada Church of Christ Disciples presents two gospel concerts in December:

On Sunday, Dec. 8, at 10:30 a.m. Danny Ray, southern gospel singer-songwriter, will perform.

On Sunday, Dec. 22, at 10:30 a.m., HeartSong, a southern gospel group, will perform.

Both concerts will be at 316 S. Main St. For info, call Dana Walters at 419-233-4476.

Senior linebacker Mark Niles (Miramar, Fla.) headlines a list of 11 Ohio Northern players that have been named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in football for 2019 in vopting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.

Niles received the Gene Slaughter Award as the league's most valuable linebacker and was a First Team All-Conference selection.

Junior All-American running back Christiaan Williams (SidneyAnna), sophomore running back/kick returner Brock Martin (Attica/Seneca East) and freshman defensive end Josh Bever (Ashland) were also named First Team All-OAC.

Four from Hardin County join Ohio group on trip

Alger sheep farmer Dave Burkhart was part of a four-person Hardin County group who joined an Ohio Sheep Improvement Association and Ohio Farm Bureau International Sheep and Agriculture Tour of Argentina in October.

Burkhard and Nancy Wilcox, Madelyn Lowery, and OSU Extension Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator Mark Badertscher joined a group.
