Five Polar Bears named All-OAC in Baseball

Five Ohio Northern baseball players earned All-OAC honors in voting done by the league's 10 head coaches.
Seniors Cory Martin and Austin Price and sophomore Jack LaMarca all earned Second Team All-OAC accolades, while sophomore Dan Belliveau and freshman Ben Glischinski were named All-OAC Honorable Mention.
These are the first All-OAC accolades for all five players.
Martin led the team with 32 RBI's on the season.
He hit .286 and recorded his 100th career hit on April 14.
Martin concludes his career with 103 hits, which is tied for 49th most in program history.
Price posted a 4-3 record while pitching in a team best 51.1 innings.
He led the team with 47 strikeouts on the season and walked just seven batters all season.
Price ends his career with ranked seventh in strikeouts (189), seventh in innings pitched (217.2), tenth in appearances (44) and tied for tenth in wins (16).
In his first season at ONU, LaMarca hit .341 which was tops on the team and also tied for first with nine stolen bases.
In addition, LaMarca also collected 46 hits and scored 32 runs, which led the Polar Bears.
Belliveau batted .308 on the year and, recorded 45 hits and drove in 30 runs.
He was also tied for the lead with nine doubles and recorded seven assists from the outfield.
Glischinski went 2-2 on the year and struck out 35 batters.
He pitched in 36.1 innings with an ERA of 3.47.
Ohio Northern finished the season with a 17-21 record under second year head coach Gene Stechschulte and posted an 8-10 mark in the OAC, which was tied for sixth place.
