Gloria Haney 1931-2013
Gloria J. Haney, 82, died on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 6:18 pm at Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio.
She was born on February 3, 1931 in Hardin County, Ohio. Her parents were Lester and Effie Houx and they are deceased. She married Paul Haney, who preceded her in death on May 21, 1994.
Gloria previously worked and retired from Monsano. She was a great mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was also a great pianist. .
Surviving are two sons: Scott J. (Ann) Haney of Greenville and John M. (Kathy) Haney of Hamler; seven grandchildren: Paul S. Haney, Jodi L. Bontempo, Nathaniel P. Haney, Brentt E. Haney, Melissa J. Hill, Matthew E. Haney and Daniel S. Haney; twelve great grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Houx of Lima; two sisters: Patsy (Earl) Hale of Lima and Judy (Virgil) Marinelli of Las Vegas, NV.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Haney, Jr. and a brother, Lester Houx, Jr.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Robert Dye officiating.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to Charity of the Donor's Choice.
