Ohio Northern University’s Institute for Civics and Public Policy (ICAPP) will host a forum for candidates running for Ada Village Council on Monday, Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dicke College of Business Forum.

All candidates who are on the Nov. 2 ballot have committed to participating in the forum. They include incumbents Jeff Oestreich, Noah Ristau and Robert C. Simmons, and challengers Sean Beck and Jason Campbell. Voters will elect four to serve.

Perry K. May, age 62, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

He was born on June 1, 1959 in Lima, Ohio to the late William L. and Charlotte Lee (Clay) May. 

Perry worked for MILCOR, Lima. He was a member of the Breakthrough Harvest Church, Findlay and played the drums for the worship team. Perry enjoyed music, travel and spending time with his family. He loved his dog, Lady Jane. Perry had a quick smile and loved to laugh; he will be greatly missed by his family.

The Village of Ada has issued the following information on 2021 leaf pick-up scheduling and instructions.

The Village is divided into the four pick-up areas as listed below. See Attached map.

Each section will have leaves picked up on a specific date. Dates are subject to change due to weather or emergencies. 

Northwest-District A

Monday Pickup on Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 29. 

Northeast-District B

Tuesday Pickup on Oct. 26, Nov, 2, 9, 16, 30.

Southeast -District C 

Wednesday Pickup on Oct. 27, Nov. 3, 10, 17, Dec. 1
