Blanchard Valley Health System is welcoming residents from all surrounding counties, including Allen, Hancock, Hardin, Henry, Putnam, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot at the Bluffton and Findlay Triage and Testing Centers.

Ohio Secretary of State's office released the postcard that Ohio voters will soon receive as part of the effort to complete the 2020 Ohio primary election.

In-person voting on March 17 was blocked by an order from Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton to combat the spread of Coronavirus/COVID-19, following an announcement by Governor Mike DeWine on March 16 that Ohioans over the age of 65 should remain home and barring gatherings of greater than 50 people.

Liberty Township trustees will not hold their regular meeting on April 6 due to Covid-19, according to Patty Griffin, township fiscal officer.

Roe N. Lansing,  97, died on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 5 p.m. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

He was born on June 2, 1922, in Big Springs, Ohio, to the late Charles O. and Dora Mae (O’Brien) Lansing. On Aug. 16, 1941, Roe married Alice E. Simon and she preceded him in death.

Roe was a carpenter, owner and operator of Lansing Brothers Construction Co. of Ada.  He was a member of the Grace Gospel Church of God, Ada.  Roe served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1944-1946.  He was a member of the Ada VFW Post #9381, the American Legion Post #185 of Ada and of the former Hix and Chix Western Square Dance Club for 43 years.
