MAY 1 MEDIA RELEASE – As temperatures rise and an increased number of motorcycles are traveling on our roadways, the Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding drivers and motorcyclists to share the road, be alert and driver sober.

MAY 2 MEDIA RELEASE, 7:26 P.M.__On May 2, 2025, at 11:20 a.m., the Southeast Hardin Northwest Union Joint Fire District was dispatched to a report of paint in the roadway at the intersection of Main Street and Taylor Street in Mount Victory, Ohio.

Rescue 24 arrived on the scene at 11:25 a.m. and attempted to identify the substance. Additional assistance was requested from the Hardin County Hazmat Team, the Kenton Fire Department, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the Hardin County Emergency Management Agency.

Evelyn M. Bailey, age 60, of McGuffey, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at her residence.  

She was born on November 21, 1964 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Gary and Shirley (Marshall) Dunson.  On February 13, 1984 Evelyn married Timothy Bailey, Sr. and he preceded her in death on April 20, 2010. 

Evelyn is survived by her two sons: Timothy “T.J.” Bailey and Kyle Bailey both of McGuffey; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; and brother, John Dunson of Kenton.
