This is your chance to vote for a finalist at the 2014 Miss America Competition. Vote for Rebecca so that she may become become America's Choice live on ABC on Sunday, Sept. 15, at 9 p.m. EST at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
ONU pharmacy student Rebecca Yeh will represent Minnesota this year at the Miss America Pageant, the Miss America Organization announced.
Yeh was crowned Miss Minnesota 2013 on Saturday, June 13, in Eden Prairie.
Yeh is a graduate of Brainerd High School who is a student in the six-year program for a doctorate in pharmacy at Ohio Northern University, according to her official pageant biography.
"Rebecca is currently a volunteer at Fraser School in Richfield, Minnesota and the Center for Autism and Dyslexia in Lima, where she works with children with autism and other developmental disabilities. She performs her violin regularly on her church worship team, for weddings, funerals and other special events in Minnesota and Ohio," according to her biography.
She was a contestant in the Miss Minnesota 2012 Pageant after being crowned Miss Brainerd Lakes.
"The Miss Minnesota Scholarship Pageant is a non-profit organization that awards scholarship dollars to outstanding young women to help advance them academically and professionally," according to state pageant officials. "Participants have gone on to achieve major success in diverse fields including medicine, law, business, broadcast journalism, theater, politics, literature and more."
Yeh won a $6,000 scholarship for earning the Miss Minnesota crown.
