Hardin Democratic Central and Exe Committees meet Aug. 14
The next meeting of the Hardin County Democratic Central and Executive Committees will be held Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m. in the Banquet Room at Brunson’s Restaurant, 1 North Detroit Street, Kenton. Please not the change in location.
Final plans will be made for the Democrat Booth at the Hardin County Fair. Volunteers are needed to help set up the booth on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 at 10 a.m. as well as volunteer to be in the booth during the fair from Tuesday, Sept. 3 through Sunday, Sept. 7. The sign-up sheet for the fair will available at this meeting. Lynn Rainsburg, Treasurer, has resigned effective Sept. 1, as well as resigning as Pleasant Township Precinct Representative. We will need to appoint someone to fill her unexpired terms at this meeting. We also need to appoint someone to complete the remaining term of Vice Chair of the party.
The Fall Campaign Luncheon will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church north of Kenton on State Route 68 at 13502 Township Road 80. Tickets for this event will be sold at the Democrat Fair Booth and will also be available from members of the Central and Executive Committees. The speakers will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.
The endorsement of Democratic candidates seeking statewide office will be considered at this meeting. General discussion will begin for the plans and strategies for the General Election in 2013 as well as the Primary and General Elections in 2014.
Those persons attending this meeting are invited to come at 5:30 or soon thereafter to enjoy the all-you-can-eat broasted chicken or something else from the menu at Brunson’s.
Persons who subscribe to the principles of the Democratic Party are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
