USSSA World Series at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla. – finished with 1 win, 2 ties, and 2 losses – placed 33rd out of 41 teams
Final rankings in USSSA for U12 class B – finished 3rd
The team had a successful season and really enjoyed their time on the diamonds and especially in Orlando.
The whole experience at the World Series was great from the opening ceremonies, to the pin trading, gift exchange and playing at ESPN.
They also got to spend one day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There were three teams from Ohio in our bracket, including the PC Sting and Cincinnati Magic. We played against mostly teams from Florida and one from South Carolina.
There was rain every day, most of them downpours, which caused delays for many of the games. During one of the delays, the team played some games with a team from Puerto Rico to pass the time. The girls had fun meeting and competing against different teams!
Players who went to Orlando (in no particular order): Olivia and Chloe Lawrence from Allen East, Averey Rumer from Bluffton, Katie Prater from Bluffton, Madisyn Gossard from Ada, Kendra Johnston from Spencerville, Madison Howell from St. Marys, Katie Goodman from Elida, Teyah Sautter from Ada, Carlee Hosterman from Wapakoneta, and Kara May from Spencerville.
