Rolland "Oars" Anspach was born in Ada
Rolland C. "Oars" Anspach, age 73, died on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at 6:43 p.m. at the Celina Manor Nursing Home, Celina.
He was born on March 11, 1940 in Ada, Ohio to Charles N. and Goldie M. (Kissling) Anspach and they preceded him in death.
Rolland retired after working as an autobody repairman. He attended Beaver Chapel Congregational Christian Church, Celina. He was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.
Surviving are a son, Michael (Karyn) Anspach of Eastpointe, MI; one grandchild; two brothers: John M. (Carol) Anspach of Cuyahoga Falls and Dennis M. Anspach of Ada; Brother-in-law, Douglas Johnson of Seattle, WA; special friend, Karen Gillis of Celina; Special Buddy, Mattie.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Johnson.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor Tom Christen officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with graveside military services conducted by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
