Ellis L. Jenkins had worked for over 30 years at the Lima Ford plant
Ellis L. Jenkins, 77, died at 4:24 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at his Ada residence.
He was born Sept. 28, 1940, in Boswell, Okla., to Curtis M. and Sylvia (Stafford) Jenkins, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 24, 2004, he married Doreen (Grant) Manley Burkholder, who survives in Ada.
Mr. Jenkins retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant in 2003 after over 30 years of service.
Survivors include, daughter, Michele (David Goodwin) Fraser, of Delphos, son, Curtis E. Jenkins, of Ada, daughter, Ronda K. Davis, of Cairo, seven grandchildren, Elisa, Danielle, Amber, Kristen, Sean, Kayle, and Megan, step son, Michael A. (Lynn) Manley, of Huntsville, step daughter, Christine L. (Steven) Adams, of Lima, step daughter, Sarah J. (Andy) Aho, of Katy, Texas, step son Matthew A. Burkholder, of Columbus, and five step grandchildren, Haley, Derek, Nathan, Lauren, and Evan, sister, Nadine.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Shirlene Jenkins, grandson, Jason McIntosh, four brothers, Lonny, Donny, William, and Curtis Jenkins, ex wife, Marilyn (Stoddard) Jenkins.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Richard Rakay will officiate. Burial will be in Cairo East Cemetery.
